What is extrait de parfum?
Extrait de parfum describes a concentrated perfume format. The label does not establish a universal percentage or promise a fixed number of wear hours. Velario labels its single fragrances as 35% extrait in 50 ml bottles; concentration and measured performance remain different facts.
| Fragrance | Velario Aqua |
|---|---|
| Family | Fresh aquatic-woody |
| Top notes | Grapefruit, Lemon, Mint, Pink Pepper |
| Heart notes | Ginger, Jasmine, Nutmeg, Melon |
| Base notes | Sandalwood, Cedar, Amber, Labdanum |
How should you use this term when comparing fragrances?
Compare the stated concentration, bottle size, and actual scent profile separately. An extrait is not automatically a more powerful version of every eau de parfum. Different formulas can smell and develop differently.
What distinction matters?
Concentration describes formulation; longevity describes an observation over time.
The table reproduces a public catalog description. It is not an independent test, an ingredient analysis, or evidence of another brand’s formula.
